THE NETHERLANDS | Franciska Dekker is a systems thinker, both a pragmatic person and a visionary idealist. She is an expert in conscious leadership development: leading on a day-to-day from Presence (*).

She helps people to untangle their dilemmas or perceived “stuckness” and to be in the drivers seat of their life, with clear directions and choice points of their own.

Her engagement is in developing personal strategy for true influence, executive coaching, women’s leadership and leadership development through travel experiences. Two of her favorite current Lead True workshops are “From Chaos to Direction” to create a personal, integrated Leadership Compass, and “Growing Influence with Positive Political Intelligence“. A favorite assessment of hers is the Kolbe Index, revealing ones innate, conative way of problem solving.

“I work with leaders and teams in both profit and not-for-profit organizations. The majority of my clients are senior academic staff at universities, research organizations and academic hospitals. I particularly work with change agents to produce out-of-the-box results for themselves and their teams. I am committed to bringing a space for slowing down, in order to speed up. I believe that work- and lifestyles can, and must fit the uniqueness of an individual or team.”

What makes her tick is leading a full and authentic life sourced from inspiration, and supporting others at doing the same for them. Connecting spirit and earthly matters. With her academic background, calm nature and lightness of being, she easily  uncovers blind spots and helps her clients increase flow in their lives. Keywords to her are: connection, inspiration and impact.

Franciska is a university graduate in agricultural science. During 1985-2002 she has held a variety of positions with FAO in Africa and in the Caribbean, and with Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands. There after, starting in 2000, she changed her career to coaching and leadership development. She has traveled extensively, still does, and loves adventures through moving beyond – physically and metaphysically. In addition to science, she is educated in psycho-energetic therapy, communication skills, team coaching and leadership coaching with horses. She knows that learning never ends, that growth and development is a choice, and continues to be a student at the leading edge of her life.

(*) Presence is referred to as an inner state of Being where one is completely and freely available to the moment. This inner state is usually in our blind spot. From this place of Presence, one can be pro-active and have true influence, rather than be re-active and constrained to coping and survival strategies.
