Nancy Farina Johnston
UNITED STATES | Nancy works with her clients to build on wisdom gained from past experiences while reinventing themselves for what’s next. Her experience comes from her professional career where she has worked in transition consulting and coaching, career management, leadership development, and marketing and communications. She knows that all individuals can find fulfillment and joy by contributing their talents while integrating the professional and personal aspects of their lives.
Nancy has worked closely with business professionals, entrepreneurs, students and alumni at all levels of experience and in a broad variety of organizations. Her ability to provide strategic perspective in evaluating situations and offering guidance has helped her to earn a reputation as a trusted advisor and confidant to her team and her clients.
Nancy has worked as a career transition coach since 2005, primarily with corporate executives and individuals exploring new paths in their working lives. Nancy is currently the Senior Associate Director, Experienced Professionals Career Management at Columbia Business School. Prior to Columbia, Nancy worked in Corporate Relations and Career Management at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Prior to working at Chicago Booth she was an Executive Coach at Right Management in the Career Transitions practice. She is certified in the Lead True Model for True Leadership (SM) and the The Kolbe System (TM). Nancy also serves as a strategic advisor to Triple W Forum – a retreat that provides a platform for women in all stages of life and career to transform their innate strengths to benefit themselves, their organizations, and their communities.
Prior to her roles in career management, Nancy worked in marketing for both entrepreneurial organizations and large corporate entities.
Nancy earned her Master's in Counseling and Organizational Psychology from The Adler School of Professional Psychology, her MBA in Marketing and Finance from DePaul University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Loyola University.
